Famed designer/videographer, Chilly-O, and Corey Davis team up to create a psychedelic-themed music video for the Gothic stoner-hop anthem, “Coca Leaf”. Paraded with neon lights, hot blondes and rappers all beneath the hazy glow of a smoke filled room which fits the drum-heavy melody, laden with drug references, perfectly. More like a scene from an LSD trip than a rap video, the duo keeps exposing new elements to their brand of hip-hop. This fact is even clearer with their newest LP, Best Friends, which is a musical tour de force of the lows and highs of the young, ambitious, and ruthless. That’s exactly what we’ve done here at Greedmont Park one year ago and it’s proving to be one of the better decisions we’ve made in life. We were just a creative collective that wanted to document the indie subculture we were submersed in. Now it seems that the indie subculture is the mainstream. But maybe we just made it that way. In the short amount of time since we’ve decided to go print, we’ve helped to break many artists that are continuing their rise to success (Yelawolf, The Drums, Cyhi da Prince, etc). We’ve also had some megastars in their own right reach out to us like Bilal, Lupe Fiasco, Damon Dash, A-Trak and Uffie. However, though we are obsessed with music, we’ve managed to cover some pretty interesting stories from creatives like Coco & Breezy and socialites like Brian Patrick Davis. And our readers love it! Yes, all 30,000 of you around the world who enjoy what we have to say. This issue is the BIG issue and we’ve got some big names and people doing big things. We get a first look at the big debuts from Kreayshawn, Iggy Azalea, and T. Mills. We introduce you to the next big artist in the visual art world. We delve into the Big Gay Weddings in NYC. Across the bridge, however, we can be misunderstood and if the monglers are really colorful, we’re abominations. I guess, only a select few individuals can see the king’s new wardrobe and maybe, that’s for the best. Do we really give a fuck? Probably not. So, we chatted with celebrated misfit, Lupe Fiasco and bubbling, Brooklyn-raised new comer, Theophilus London. We highlight events that unify us all as humans like the disaster in Japan and the killing of one of the world’s most notorious terrorist, Osama Bin Laden.

A group crack addicts in Atlanta who live outside in a small cove behind a Texaco, infamously dubbed as the “Living Room,” share their stories and tell us what it’s like to battle with a deadly addiction to crack-cocaine. “Growing up I never had a father, because he was out running the streets getting high… Right around the time I was born, the mid 80′s, African-American communities across the country was struck by the crack epidemic. Which robbed us our prideful culture and instantly perverted it into a counter-culture where playgrounds became war-zones and families were destroyed.” [Directed by Corey Davis]
